Obtaining a pre-approval from one to three local, reputable lenders is the first step in purchasing a home. 

Paying cash? Obtain a funds verification letter from your banking institution.

STEP 2 | WHO’S YOUR AGENT?

Choosing your agent is a key decision in the home purchase process.

You’ll want to work with an agent who is experienced, knowledgable and responsive.

STEP 3 | WHAT’S ON YOUR WISH LIST?

Create a list of ‘must haves’ like location, proximity to work, transportation & community amenities.

Add a secondary list for home style & attributes.

STEP 4 | WHAT’S ON THE MARKET?

We’ll create one or more Compass Collections matching the criteria for your search.

You’ll see all the listings automatically–including Compass Private Exclusives that aren’t publicly visible!

STEP 3 | WHAT’S ON PRIVATE EXCLUSIVE?

The best way to purchase DC real estate is to avoid competition. Viewing homes before they hit the market is an invaluable opportunity.

STEP 3 | THE TRANSACTION PROCESS
